5k  Run/Walk July 22, 2007  At Hersey High School

July 23, 2006, The second annual VUK42 5k walk run was held this morning  at Hersey High School. The event was well attended and the weather was beautiful. Thank you to all who participated and to all of the sponsors. Please join us next year and bring a friend.

June 8, 2006, Today  Mike Nowak assumed the duties of the vacated position of Vice President. We are confident that the Foundation is in good hands.

May 31, 2006, Today Audrey and Paul Vukadinovic presented a scholarship to St. Emily 8th grader Alexis Sonetra. Also today Fred and Mark Vukadinovic presented the Second Annual VUK 42 Scholarship to Mark Laut  a Hersey High School senior. The VUK 42 scholarship is a $5000.00 educational scholarship that can be renewed for up to 4 years. Good luck to all of our scholarship  recipients.

May 15, 2006, With the unfortunate resignation of VP and Board member Charles Rucks we are proud to announce the addition of Patricia Wichmann to the board. Mrs. Wichmann has non profit experience with the Kennedy Center Of Barrington.

July 24, 2005 This morning we had the 5k walk run. Close to 300 attended.

June 1, 2005, This evening we gave the first VUK42 scholarship at John Hersey High School to Derek Honcoop. Derek, a four year athlete, has overcome learning obstacles to achieve  B honor roll status. Derek is the recipient of a $5000.00 educational scholarship that can be renewed for up to 4 years. Best wishes to Derek and good luck in college.

June 1, 2005, Today we added a link to the Gift Of Hope web site. Tommy donated organs and tissue through the gift of hope, so we feel that this is a partnership that is in keeping with Tommy's compassionate and giving nature. Please be a donor.

May 24, 2005, This evening we gave out our first scholarship to Chris Wiatr of St Emily School. Chris is a very deserving young man who has worked  very hard to overcome the challenges set before him. Congratulations Chris

May 5, 2005, Today at a board meeting Mike Nowak was elected to the board of directors. Mikes dedication to the cause is greatly appreciated.

May 2, 2005,  Today we received official notification from the IRS designating the foundation as a  Public Charity. We are now a 501 C 3 organization. This designation is retroactive, so all your previous donations are now tax deductible. Thank you all for you support.

Apr 25 2005. The 3 on 3 was a great success. We had 42 teams compete in 9 divisions. Next year we hope to hold the tournament earlier in the year so there will not be so many conflicts. Thank you to all who took part and volunteered.

January 19 2005, Papers are now filed with the IRS to give the foundation 501c3 status.

December 30 2004, We are now officially incorporated as a "Not for Profit Corporation" in the state of Illinois. The officers of the foundation are, President: Fred Vukadinovic, Vice President: Charles Rucks, Treasurer: David Wichmann, Secretary: Maritza  Nowakowski. The foundation is also registered with the office of the Attorney General.

December 17 2004, We have started the business of this foundation. Last week we made our first donation of Christmas gifts to a local needy family. We have also implemented "Adopt a Ward " With this program we will donate gifts to children at a local hospital who will have to stay hospitalized over the Christmas Holiday.  Next week the operating officers will be introduced on this page. We are putting together a staff of dedicated professionals that are committed to help this foundation grow.

Today, Nov 29 2004, we started our VUK42 web site. Today we also started the process of incorporating the foundation in the State of Illinois. This is the first step in making the foundation a 501c3 entity. 501c3 is an IRS designation for a charitable organization. Once we are certified a charitable organization, all donations will be tax deductible. This designation will allow all who have donated since July 04 to deduct their donations.
